The Institutes in Bern, Basel, Zurich, Geneva, and Fribourg have signed an agreement that allows students involved to participate in individual courses and include them in their transcript of records. Please be aware that you would need to register for a minor study (see below). Please consult the respective deadlines regarding course registrations, in Bern using the course catalogue system KSL. The mobility coordinators at the Institute will be happy to provide further advice.

Students who have studied for one year at another Swiss University may study at Bern for 1 or 2 semesters. You would continue to be registered at your home university and pay the tuition fees there. For information on the registration process, the grading system and possible language courses, see here.

If you are studying at another Swiss university and would like to register for courses at the University of Bern, you may collect up to 60 ECTS-Credits without paying any tuition fees. The deadline for applications is April 30th (delayed August 31^st). for courses during the fall semester and December 15th (delayed January 31st) for the spring semester.
